ONE BLOCK WONDER W/GLORIA H
- Dec 10, 2017 03:00 pm

The One Block Wonder is a beautiful quilt. You will love this unusual method of designing and creating quilts. Instead of starting with a particular pattern or design and then trying to find fabric that will fit that pattern, this approach begins with the fabric: The fabric is the key element. Kaleidoscope blocks each one unique are produced by aligning the printed design on several layers of fabric and then cutting and sewing triangles together. Just as the mirrors in a kaleidoscope reflect and repeat an image, each triangle repeats color and pattern to create a new design for each block. Once all the blocks are made, you begin to design your quilt. Dates: Sundays, November 26 and December 10, 3pm thru 6:30pm Level: Confident Beginner/Intermediate Quilter Cost: $55 Join Gloria and make this one of a kind quilt. The end results are limitles

Cost: $ 55.00

GETTING TO KNOW HUE BOM
- Jun 02, 2018 09:30 am

Getting to Know Hue BOM – From Nancy Rink and Marcus Fabrics. What began as a simple concept for a group of modern mixers for larger scale prints has taken on a life of its own in GTKH: Getting to Know Hue, and these are not your common blender prints! Quilters in search of a fun spectrum of small, stash worthy coordinates will love Nancy’s contemporary collection. As she puts it, “The GTKH collection is the supporting cast to help create drama in the quilts we make.” And as you see, they play equally well on their own in her new BOM! (See photo page 7) Of course, it wouldn’t be a “Nancy Quilt” without beautiful appliqué highlights, and she guides stitchers in both traditional appliqué methods and the optional laser-cut method. Laser cut fabric kits will be available. The first BOM meeting will be September 9th at 9:00.
