Kari Curley
Corona, CA
Kari Curley’s passion for BERNINA began in the 1990s with her first machine, a beloved 1230, and it’s still going strong today. Her mission is to empower BERNINA owners to fully understand and love what their machines can do, and to help new owners find the perfect BERNINA for their needs.
She is the founder of BERNINA Land, a long-running social media community that supports and inspires more than 5,000 members worldwide. With over 20 years of teaching experience, Kari has educated customers and dealers throughout Southern California on sewing and embroidery machines, overlockers, and software. She is especially known for her expertise in BERNINA Embroidery Software 9, helping even the most hesitant computer users become confident and capable.
Kari specializes in technique sewing, machine embroidery, quilting, and sewing technology. Her professional background includes costuming, custom drapery and bedding, long-arm quilting, and software troubleshooting and instruction. She has been a member of the BERNINA Trade Show Team since 2018 and works events nationwide, including Sew Expo, PIQF, and Houston Quilt Festival. She still can’t believe she gets paid to talk about BERNINA.
Outside of sewing, Kari is a proud Parrothead who enjoys craft beer, scuba diving, and traveling the world with her oldest son (32 countries and counting). She lives on a one-acre orchard in Southern California with her rescue dog, Boonie.
